Why do commercial department store cedar candles trigger throat irritation within an hour, and will this 9oz tumbler tunnel down the middle in an air-conditioned Florida room?
Commercial candles cut manufacturing cost by using petroleum paraffin wax blended with synthetic nitro-musks. When burned, paraffin releases toluene and benzene soot that irritates mucosal linings, while cheap zinc-core wicks overheat the center and leave half the wax stuck to the jar walls.
We formulate with pure soy wax melting at 121 degrees Fahrenheit, paired with an engineered flat-braid cotton wick calibrated specifically to the 3.1-inch diameter of our frosted glass vessel. In air-conditioned Florida homes held at 72 degrees, our wick generates a complete edge-to-edge melt pool within 75 minutes of ignition, eliminating tunneling entirely.
